Jasper in Fall<For Jasper Winter Activity Information Click > It is fall/winter in Jasper. Snow will come and go for a bit then stay for the season. The mountains are fluffy white. Days are getting shorter, with sunrise around 8:30 a.m. and setting about 5:45 p.m. Daytime temperatures are generally near 0'C (32'F), but can be 10' degrees cooler and then drop even more overnight.This is a peaceful time in Town, a great time to see wildlife and admire the spectacular scenery. Summer activities such as Tramway and Glacier Tours, Rafting and Hot Springs are closed. Downhill skiing is not yet open, they are planning for mid November. Cross country skiing opportunities are limited at the moment. There are a few designated snow-shoe trails. Some lakes have frozen over and skating on the outdoor oval at Mildred Lake will start soon.Bears are hibernating and won't be seen until spring. Elk and deer are seen in town and have their thick winter coats. Some lakes and rivers are open for fishing. Sheep seen regularly along the highway.Town is about as quiet as it gets and everyone is enjoying the seasonal weather.Hope to see you here.For Jasper Winter Activities Information
