Jasper in Spring

<For Jasper Spring Activity Information Click HERE>

It is spring time in Jasper. Snow is pretty much gone in valley, but lots still up high.  Days are getting longer, with sunrise around 6:00 a.m. and setting about 9:50 p.m. Daytime temperatures are generally near 15'C (60'F), but can be 10' degrees cooler and drop even more overnight.

Summer activities such as Tramway and Glacier Tours, Rafting and Hot Springs are now open, but not yet busy.  Trails are starting to dry out down low, but in the mountains are still wet or snow covered.

Bears are out of hibernation and being seen frequently along roadsides. Elk and deer are seen in town and are losing their thick winter coats.  Some lakes and rivers are open for fishing. Sheep seen regularly along the highway.

Town is moderately busy and everyone is enjoying the seasonal weather.

Hope to see you here.
